Public notice is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of Neb. Rev. Statute 77-1633, that a representative of the following political subdivisions will meet on the 23^rd of September 2026 at 6:05 p.m., in the Deuel County Commissioners meeting room, at the Deuel County Courthouse, 718 3^rd Street, Chappell, NE 69129 for the purpose of conducting a joint public hearing to obtain public input on property tax increases proposed by the subdivisions:

City of Chappell, 308-874-2401, property tax requested: $340,404.00.

Said meeting is open to the public. Accommodation for people with disabilities are available upon request. Please contact the Deuel County Clerk at 308-874-3308 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting if accommodation is required.

There is no item on the agenda for this joint public meeting other than discussion of each political subdivision’s intent to increase its property tax request by the percentage greater than the “allowable growth percentage” defined in Neb.
