To all Deuel County landowners and tenants
Roadway and intersection visibility is important for the safety of the motoring public. It is illegal to plant crops, including corn, within County rights-of-way. It is prohibited by Nebraska State Statute §39-301 and violators are subject to prosecution. Immediate action by landowners and tenants to clear any obstructions is necessary or the County may remove the obstruction and recover the costs from the responsible party.

To all Deuel County Landownes and Tenants
It is in the interest of the public to prevent obstructions of the public roads, both for their maintenance and for the safety of the traveling public. Nebraska law prohibits planting crops and placing obstructions within County rights-of-way. This restriction is established under Nebraska State Statute §39-301, and violations may result in prosecution.
Landowners and tenants are required to take immediate action to remove any crops or other obstructions within County rights-of-way. If obstructions are not cleared, such as hay bales, vehicles and posts, the County may remove them and seek reimbursement for all associated costs from the responsible party.
Your cooperation is appreciated in helping maintain safe roadways throughout Deuel County.
