Notice is hereby given that the selection committee for the vacancy in the county board will meet October 27^th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Deuel County Courthouse, 718 Third Street, Chappell, NE in the Commissioners Room. In accordance with Neb. Re. Stat. 32-567, the county attorney, county treasurer, and county clerk serve as the selection committee for vacancies in the county board.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss applicant qualifications and appoint a successor county commissioner for the Swan precinct.  The successful candidate will be appointed to serve the remainder of the office term.  The current term ends on January 7, 2027.
